Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Business Technical Analyst to support the application product lifecycle with an emphasis on claims processing. You will translate business needs into detailed specifications for enhancements across applications and participate in Agile Scrum teams.

Key responsibilities include requirements testing, process improvement analysis, and documenting deliverables such as user stories. Knowledge of claims systems and ITIL-aligned practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years in IS/IT
• Lean/Six Sigma experience (1 - 3 years)
• 1 - 3 years in Health Insurance Industry
• 1 - 3 years in Healthcare industry
• Agile Methodology certification (e.g., CSM, CSPO)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers, engineers, architects and capability managers to capture needs and drive quality solutions.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle on Agile Scrum teams in various roles (e.g., Scrum Master, Business Technical Analyst, Tester).
• Support requirements testing: testing plans, scenarios, defect management, and analyze results for customer impact.
• Ensure compliance with standards and obtain necessary approvals throughout the project lifecycle.
• Communicate with team members and customers, conduct walkthroughs and sprint reviews, report project status, and document outcomes.
• Identify and explore AI and automation opportunities within claims domain and assist implementation.
