Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional college or certification preferred.
• 1 year of call center or medical/dental office experience preferred.
• Experience with EHR software, especially eClinical Works, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, and provide callers with appointment information and instructions.
• Interview patients, families, and referral sources to collect demographic, financial, and medical data for scheduling.
• Prioritize appointments and schedule or pre-register patients accordingly.
• Handle patient/family complaint calls and coordinate with offices for service recovery.
• Verify third-party payer information and benefits activity.
• Update scheduling system with patient financial responsibility estimates.
• Maintain referral system details for marketing monitoring and accuracy.
• Ensure appointments with appropriate providers based on patient needs and preferences.
• Contribute to scheduling policy development and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support Call Center Supervisor as needed.
