Job summary

Pinnacle GI Partners is hiring a Call Center Agent in Rochester Hills to serve as the first contact for patients, scheduling appointments, coordinating interdepartmental communications, and delivering outstanding service. The role emphasizes a predictable Monday–Friday schedule and a strong focus on patient experience.

You will handle scheduling, educate patients on procedures, verify insurance, and use EMR systems to support daily operations while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Previous patient scheduling experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively by phone and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and provide exceptional customer service to patients and physician offices.
• Schedule office visits, procedures, and diagnostic appointments efficiently and accurately.
• Educate patients regarding procedure preparations and appointment requirements.
• Screen, document, and route calls and messages to the appropriate departments.
• Verify insurance participation and update patient insurance information as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient demographic information and records.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff regarding scheduling preferences and requests.
• Utilize EMR systems and office technology to support daily operations.
• Prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with privacy standards.
