The Business Office Manager at Compass Surgical Partners leads the ASC’s business office functions, guiding patient access, scheduling, registration, revenue-cycle coordination, medical-record workflow, privacy, and administrative controls to ensure safe, compliant, and financially responsible operations.

Partnering with the CEO/Administrator and Director of Nursing, this role ensures front-end processes and records are reliable daily and readily retrievable during surveys, with a focus on staff

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience in ASC or similar health care business office; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of scheduling, registration, insurance verification, authorizations, patient estimates/collections, denials, accounts receivable, medical records, HIPAA/privacy, patient rights, grievances, and revenue-cycle controls.
• Ability to lead staff, standardize workflows, monitor performance, protect confidential information, and communicate clearly.
• Familiarity with CMS ASC Conditions for Coverage, AAAHC standards, state requirements, or ability to attain proficiency.

Aufgaben

• Lead reliable scheduling, registration, insurance verification, authorization, financial counseling, patient estimate, collection, and check-in workflows.
• Coordinate with clinical leadership so scheduled cases align with approved services, patient-selection workflows, required preoperative information, equipment, implants, staffing, and payer requirements.
• Maintain a respectful, accessible patient experience and ensure staff know how to provide or arrange assistance, interpreter support, privacy, and escalation.
• Ensure required patient-rights information, privacy notices, ownership disclosures, advance-directive information, complaint/grievance instructions, and other required notices are provided and documented.
• Receive, route, track, and support timely investigation and written resolution of complaints and grievances; trend issues with leadership and QAPI.
• Protect the confidentiality, security, integrity, availability, retention, release, and appropriate disposal of business and patient information.
• Maintain systems for accurate collection, completion tracking, storage, access, retention, release, and retrieval of medical records.
• Monitor delinquent, incomplete, missing, or unauthenticated records and escalation trends or patient-safety concerns.
• Monitor front-end revenue-cycle performance and reconcile daily transactions; identify opportunities and bring recommendations.
• Hire, orient, train, supervise, schedule, coach, and evaluate business-office staff; maintain competencies and documentation.
• Implement policies, participate in audits and tracers, report incidents, and complete corrective actions.
• Support AAAHC/CMS readiness and accurate organizational postings and records.
• Participate actively in Core Leadership Team meetings with metrics; use data to identify barriers and drive corrective actions.
• Model Compass expectations for patient safety, accountability, and financial stewardship.
