• Basic knowledge of general accounting practices and office procedures.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to provide patient-care appropriate to age-related needs and follow department policies.

Responsibilities

• Submit accurate and timely claims to payers to meet revenue and accounts receivable objectives.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Handle primary and secondary billing, including insurance forms and payer guidelines.
• Post cash receipts accurately to ensure correct aging reporting.
• Perform clerical tasks and data entry, generate reports for department use.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in in-service and continuing education.
• Develop data related to department metrics and propose improvement initiatives.
