Responsibilities

• Enter patient demographics, insurance information, and charges into the billing system with a high level of accuracy.
• Identify and resolve account errors, claim rejections, and system issues that may affect reimbursement.
• Identify trends and root causes related to inaccurate insurance billing and report to leadership.
• Collaborate across teams to minimize errors and increase clean claim percentages and revenue.
• Reconcile billing reports and audit submitted claims for potential errors; identify gaps in reporting.
• Investigate escalated insurance billing inquiries and resolve the account.
• Responsible for Square payments and posting remits; break down remits for Medicare, Aetna, Humana, etc.
• Complete accruals at month end for housing; checks client accounts daily.
