Qualifications

• Ensures accurate payment of accounts by managing work queue, aging lists, and claims correspondence.
• Verifies completeness and accuracy of billing data.
• Reads and interprets denied claims and resubmits or appeals.
• Reviews aging accounts to collect amounts due or initiate escalation for collections.
• Maintains supporting documents and notes; verifies remittances meet contractual obligations.
• Audits and resolves discrepancies on patient accounts; handles non-covered or out-of-network procedures.
• Receives calls; answers inquiries and resolves patient account questions.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient health information and other sensitive data.
• Maintains professional interactions with customers; responds to service requests.
• Implements department philosophy and values in processes and the working environment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Manages work queue, aging lists, and claims correspondence to assure accurate and timely payment of accounts.
• Verifies completeness and accuracy of billing data and revises any errors.
• Reads and interprets denied claims to resolve discrepancies; resubmits or files appeal.
