Reliable Medical seeks a Reimbursement Specialist in Tennessee to coordinate compliant billing and reimbursement activities. You will review claims, verify medical necessity, and engage with payers to resolve issues while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Healthcare billing experience required, 2–3 years minimum.
• Experience with Brightree and/or DME preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and payer guidelines for reimbursement.
• Ability to review documentation to determine medical justification.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain reimbursement program ensuring compliance with billing rules and policy guidelines.
• Review authorizations and verifications for claims for medical necessity.
• Minimize AR by correcting and resubmitting claims and filing appeals.
• Communicate with insurers to resolve billing and reimbursement discrepancies.
• Review EOBs and posting of payments; identify trend issues for escalation.
• Ensure timely follow-up on claims to avoid write-offs.
• Process adjustments, write-offs, or refunds over $1,000 as needed.
• Respond to patient inquiries about payments, benefits, and insurance questions.
• Submit medical records to payers on request to facilitate payment.
• Meet KPIs and productivity targets; perform other duties as assigned.
