Qualifications

• Knowledge/skills: Computer skills and customer service abilities required.
• Minimum education: High School Education or equivalent (required).
• Preferred: Associate degree in Business Administration; two years hospital/physician billing experience; familiarity with Medicare rules and DRG/APC methodologies.
• Credentials: CRCS-I/CRCS-P preferred through AAHAM; certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Utilize tools, software and reports provided for billing tasks.
• Process billing, claim adjustment, and account follow-up activities.
• Complete payment review and Compass Exception Reports.
• Process denials in a timely manner.
• Provide professional customer service in daily interactions.
• Perform other duties as warranted.
