Job summary

NELSON is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Architect to join our Healthcare Practice. The Architect leads multiples projects through the design process, production of construction documents, and construction administration as part of a project team.

Active Architectural license in at least one state is required and experience on Healthcare Design projects such as Hospitals, Medical Centers, Physician offices is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare Design including Hospitals and Medical Centers.
• Ability to produce Construction Documents and manage design development.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, life safety and accessibility requirements.
• Proficient in CAD and BIM software; able to mentor junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead design through concepts to Construction Documents.
• Coordinate with internal and external consultants.
• Prepare and review project deliverables and shop drawings.
• Attend project meetings and coordinate with clients and authorities having jurisdiction.
