Job summary
NELSON Worldwide seeks a motivated Architect to join our Healthcare Practice. The role blends technical leadership with project management, guiding design, construction documents, and administration from concept to completion.
Licensure as a Registered Architect is strongly preferred, but not required for candidates with strong healthcare project experience and leadership skills. You will balance design excellence with client needs and business objectives while mentoring teams.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of design trends, construction methodology, materials, and manufacturer-supplier suitability.
- Familiarity with design techniques and creation of precise plans and models.
- Understanding of sustainability, LEED guidelines, and healthcare design principles.
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Proficiency in contract administration and project management software.
Responsibilities
- Lead architectural design and technical development through CD and CA.
- Translate concepts into coordinated architectural solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of codes, building systems, and regulations, including healthcare guidelines.
- Research healthcare design regulations for local projects as needed.
- Coordinate with consultants and manage project documentation and QA/QC.
