Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years in healthcare insurance A/R follow-up.
• Experience with government or commercial payers.
• Experience reviewing EOB/UB-04 forms and resubmitting claims.
• Knowledge of AR practices and denial overturns.
• Experience with payer sites and online claims follow-up.
• Strong Excel and data entry skills; proficient with email/calendar tools.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient eligibility/authorization and updates demographics in systems.
• Researches unpaid or denied claims and statuses them appropriately.
• Monitors claims for missing information and ICN/DCN data.
• Contacts payers to secure claim payments and follows up on denials.
• Obtains billing guidelines and writes appeals as needed.
• Ensures HIPAA and compliance throughout workflows.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet performance objectives.
