Qualifications

• Two years of experience in healthcare insurance accounts receivable follow up.
• Experience with government or commercial payers and denials management.
• Experience reviewing EOB/UB-04 forms and researching payer requirements.
• Knowledge of AR practices, billing and reimbursement procedures.

Responsibilities

• Verifies or obtains patient eligibility and authorization via payer portals or calls.
• Updates patient demographics and insurance information in systems.
• Researches unpaid or denied claims and statuses them appropriately.
• Monitors claims for missing information and control numbers.
• Researches EOBs for payments or adjustments to resolve claims.
• Contacts payers by phone or mail to secure payment.
• Accesses client systems for payments, open claims, and data for resolution.
• Follows deadlines, prioritization, and notation protocols in systems.
