Job summary

Savista is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Insurance Accounts Receivable Representative to join our healthcare revenue cycle team in the United States. The role focuses on timely collection of government or commercial insurance receivables, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payer guidelines.

You will verify eligibility and authorization, update patient data, research unpaid or denied claims, and communicate with payers to secure payments and appropriate appeals.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of medical collections experience required.
• Experience with denials and appeals across multiple payers.
• Intermediate knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and NCCI.
• Experience with payer contracts (commercial and government).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with EMR and patient accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Verify/obtain eligibility and authorization via payer portals or providers.
• Update patient demographics and insurance data in systems.
• Research status of unpaid or denied claims.
• Monitor claims for missing information and authorization numbers.
• Research EOBs for payments or adjustments to resolve claims.
• Communicate with payers to secure payment and submission of appeals.
• Adhere to claim and appeal guidelines and deadlines.
• Access client systems for payment data and claim information.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform other duties as required.
