Job summary

Doctors HealthCare Plans, Inc. is seeking an Application Administrator to manage and optimize clinical and administrative applications. You will handle user access, monitor performance, coordinate with IT and vendors, and implement test plans for new or updated systems.

Responsibilities include documentation, change planning, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while maintaining security controls and audit logs. The role requires proactive problem solving and strong communication in a healthcare IT

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain user accounts and access based on security roles
• Monitor application performance and availability, and document and analyze problems
• Work closely with IT and application vendors to tune applications and troubleshoot problems
• Develop and carry out test plans to verify the logic of new or modified applications
• Maintain system documentation, policies and procedures
• Plan, coordinate, test and communicate changes, upgrades, maintenance schedules and new services with IT
• Read vendor release notes, understand the implications of upgrades and new versions, and provide advice to end users
• Ensure appropriate controls and audit logs are in place and reviewed
• Provide advice and training to end users
• Review governing regulations, including HIPAA, to ensure applications are supported in compliance
• Apply and promote IT security best practices across supported applications
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies and busines
