elariaà is seeking an Administrator of Application Services to lead the implementation, integration, and support of enterprise clinical and business applications, including EHR and imaging systems. This senior role involves multi-year program development, budgeting, policy setting, and performance management for IS staff.
Ideal candidates will have a graduate degree, ten years in healthcare information management, and at least six years in progressive management.
The Administrator of Application Services leads the implementation, integration, and support of all enterprise and entity‑specific clinical and business applications within the Health System. Application programs include (but are not limited to) mission critical systems such as the Electronic Health Record, Patient Accounting, General Ledger, and Imaging systems. This senior management position has responsibility and oversight for program development with multi‑year cycles, business planning, policy setting, decision‑making, budget planning, expense control, and performance management of all staff under their direction. The Administrator researches and analyzes complex, state‑of‑the‑art application solutions to meet organizational and departmental objectives, decisions, and policies that support the business objectives for the entire organization. The Administrator serves as a back‑up and assistant to the Vice President of Information Technology in overseeing day‑to‑day operations of the Information Services division. The position encompasses strategic planning, contract negotiation, project management, system acquisition, design, installation, modification, upgrades, support, and enhancement. A thorough knowledge of the Health System and its organizational and system interrelationships is required. Internal contacts require establishing rapport and working relationships with all levels of staff, management, and executives including Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, CEO, and Board of Directors. External contacts include senior vendor personnel and outside professional and healthcare organizations as well as regulatory agencies and bodies.
