Job summary

HealthTexas seeks an Application Analyst to serve as a technical and functional resource supporting, maintaining, configuring, and optimizing health plan/payer applications. The role emphasizes reliability, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate with IT, operations, and external vendors to resolve issues, support enhancements, and contribute to organizational initiatives in alignment with departmental goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or related field.
• 4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of work experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• Healthcare payer/TPA environment experience preferred.
• Experience with ticketing systems and application testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support for HealthTexas Medical Group's health plan/payer applications, including Cedar Gate EZ-Suite applications (EZ-CAP, EZ-EDI, EZ-NET, and Eligibility Manager).
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, system errors, processing discrepancies, and user-reported concerns.
• Manage service desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution, documentation, communication, and follow-up.
• Develop and execute test scenarios based on releases, hotfixes, configuration changes, and enhancements to validate system functionality.
• Document functional specifications, user stories, and system workflows to support enhancements and projects.
