Job summary

HealthTexas Medical Group seeks an Application Analyst to support, configure, test, and optimize health plan/payer applications. The role partners with IT and vendors to ensure system reliability and continuously improve operations.

Reporting to the Applications Manager, you will gather business requirements, document workflows, and prepare technical reports while contributing to departmental initiatives and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Three+ years in application support, systems analysis, or a related field, preferably in health payer/TPA environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with ability to resolve complex issues.
• Experience managing support requests through ticketing systems and participating in testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and functional support for health plan applications, including EZ-Suite (EZ-CAP, EZ-EDI, EZ-NET, Eligibility Manager).
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, errors, and processing discrepancies.
• Manage service desk tickets with timely resolution, documentation, and follow-up.
• Perform routine support and configuration changes per procedures and approvals.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to troubleshoot complex issues and ensure stability.
• Review configurations, support updates/hotfixes, and validate releases with testing.
