Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an analytics professional to support financial, operational and clinical performance through rigorous data analysis and reporting. You will partner with hospital and physician leaders, leverage large detail data, and present executive summaries with recommendations using SQL, Tableau, and ETL tools.

Candidates typically have a Bachelor's degree in finance or related field or equivalent experience, plus strong communication and project management skills to juggle

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, or related field OR 6 years of related and progressive experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years in Decision Support and Data Analysis; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and data interpretation
• Ability to work with large quantities of detailed data and illuminate high-level strategic insights

Responsibilities

• Analyze volume, revenue, cost, and profitability to explain financial results and inform decisions
• Create executive-level summaries of major analytical projects with key findings and recommendations
• Partner with hospital and physician leadership to support initiatives with financial/operational/clinical insights
• Utilize rate/volume calculations to quantify impact of patient mix, procedure mix, and payor mix on business outcomes
