Fundamental is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to serve as the first point of contact for new patients, families, and the public. You will manage admissions processes, tours, and referrals with a strong emphasis on customer service and accuracy.

The role requires healthcare admissions experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and reliable local travel. This full-time position offers a competitive wage and benefits package in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in an Admissions position in healthcare environment.
• Long term care experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology – ability to discuss clinical evaluations with physicians and other caregivers within facility.
• Must be able to travel locally by personal automobile as required.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage initial contact with discharge planner, family, or responsible party to initiate tour and follow-up procedures.
• Manage the tour process to promote conversion of referrals to admissions and train staff to conduct tours in the Admissions Coordinator's absence.
• Oversee the admissions process: complete paperwork, treat residents and families with courtesy, and share information with relevant departments.
• Develop and implement internal servicing of key employees regarding their role in admissions.
• Conduct external sales activity with current referral sources to increase census.
