PACS in Tampa, FL is seeking an Admissions Assistant to support the Admissions Coordinator and ensure a smooth transition for new residents and families. You will greet prospective residents, coordinate admissions, and help with documentation and tours.

You will work with nursing, social services, and admin staff to maintain records, verify insurance, and assist with referrals, while upholding confidentiality and professional service in a busy facility.

Qualifications

  • Experience in admissions, healthcare, or long‑term care setting strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance verification processes.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Responsibilities

General Purpose

The Admissions Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition for new residents and their families. This position supports the Admissions Coordinator and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate efficient and empathetic admissions processes.

Essential Duties
