Job summary

Cook County Health & Hospitals System seeks an Accountant II to assist the Accounts Payable Manager with recording, auditing, matching, and processing invoices, ensuring proper checks and balances over AP documents.

The role reports to management and requires communication with staff and vendors. A high school diploma or GED and 1+ year AP experience are required; Oracle EBS preferred, MS Office proficient. This is a full-time position in Chicago, with a 8:30 AM–4:30 PM shift and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; proof required.
• At least 1 year Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Accounts Payable Manager with recording, auditing, matching, and processing invoices.
• Operate and support the automated Accounts Payable system.
• Maintain AP records and reports per policies.
• Audit and confirm disbursements to vendors to ensure proper payments.
• Communicate with CCH staff, County staff, and vendors.
