Job summary

Cook County Health is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to support the AP Manager in recording, auditing, and processing invoices. You will ensure accurate checks and balances, timely processing, and communication with internal staff and vendors.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year AP experience and is proficient with Microsoft Office; hospital experience and Oracle EBS are preferred. This role is based on-site and requires adherence to policy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficient in computers using Microsoft Office.
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to Accounts Payable Manager for accurate recording, auditing, and processing of invoices.
• Implement and adhere to checks and balances over all invoices, receiving reports, and Accounts Payable documents.
• Review and verify all Accounts Payable reports.
• Process invoices timely and in accordance with Cook County Hospital and County policies.
• Communicate timely with staff, County staff, and vendors.
• Assist in auditing and confirming disbursements to vendors for proper payment.
• Answer questions from staff and vendors.
• Maintain professional growth through training and seminars.
• Work with other departments and vendors to ensure smooth operations.
