Ventura Orthopedics is seeking an Accounting Intern to support the Finance Department in Camarillo, CA. This part-time internship offers hands-on exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting while you pursue a degree in accounting or finance.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy, and teamwork as you assist with data entry, bank reconciliations, and month-end close tasks under the Accounting Manager / Controller.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing accounts payable invoices and patient refunds.
• Support accounts receivable activities, including payment posting and account reconciliation.
• Prepare and maintain accounting records, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with monthly bank and account reconciliations.
• Organize and file financial records in accordance with company policies.
• Help review expense reports and verify supporting documentation.
• Assist with data entry and maintenance of accounting systems.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Participate in special projects, audits, and financial analysis as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and patient-related information.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Finance Department.
