Job summary

Rise Brands in Columbus, OH seeks an Accounting Intern to support accounting, finance, procurement, marketing, and operations teams while gaining hands-on experience in transactional accounting and month-end processes.

You will assist with daily transactions, reconciliations, invoicing, accruals, and data analysis, learning best practices in hospitality-focused operations and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

• Prior internship, coursework, or experience in accounting, hospitality, retail, or service industries is a plus.
• Able to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing daily accounting transactions, including sales, refunds, and basic journal entries.
• Support daily cash reconciliations for all locations, including cash transfers, checks, ACH, and debit transactions.
• Help prepare and enter invoices, expense reports, and month-end accruals under supervision.
• Monitor and assist in managing the Accounts Payable email inbox.
• Support month-end close activities, including documentation and reconciliation support.
• Assist with data gathering and ad hoc financial analyses to support finance, marketing, operations, and strategy teams.
• Participate in identifying opportunities for process improvements within accounting and finance workflows.
• Provide administrative and analytical support for procurement activities, including new store openings and ongoing operations.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
• Complete other accounting-related projects and duties as assigned.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting Manager and Procurement Director with day-to-day accounting and finance activities.
