Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, seeks a Security Officer for full-time Access Control Operations in Columbus, OH. You will safeguard patients, staff, and visitors, manage badge processes, and monitor entry points using computer/tablet systems.

Responsibilities include patrolling, incident documentation, and following site-specific procedures. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, background check, and drug screen where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures and policies.
• Manage access control points by verifying credentials and directing authorized individuals.
• Respond to incidents and escalation procedures in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular patrols of interior/exterior areas to identify unusual activity and maintain a secure environment.
• Document incidents and communicate information to leadership and site contacts.
