Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Operations in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will manage access points, verify credentials, assist visitors, and help maintain an orderly environment. Using computer or tablet systems, you will support badge-related processes, communicate professionally with patients, staff, and guests, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.18 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Fri: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sat: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Manage access control points by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit activity, maintaining visitor records, and directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support a controlled environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and access-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
