Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Health and Wellness Director at the Charles River YMCA to lead the Healthy Living Experience and supervise fitness staff, trainers, and programs. You will drive member engagement through the gym, classes, and personalized wellness offerings.

You will manage budgets, ensure safety, collaborate across departments, and strive to grow participation and enhance the Y Experience for members and staff.

Qualifications

• Active, Nationally Accredited, Group Exercise Certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in adult learning methods.
• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in work relating to group exercise, personal and group training, paid or volunteer required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Healthy Living Experience team and direct reports.
• Engage members through fitness centers, personal training, and group classes.
• Drive branch group exercise offerings, schedules, and participation.
