Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Health & Welfare Plans Specialist to administer COBRA, retiree health care, FSA/HSA, severance, tuition assistance and related programs. You will manage external vendors, ensure benefits deductions are accurate, and support HR executives during enrollment processes.

The role emphasizes governance of benefits operations, research for appeals, and collaboration across business units. Strong communication and project management are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience with at least 2 years in health & welfare benefits.
• Project management and vendor management experience.
• Excellent customer service with strong communication skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication for benefit questions.
• Intermediate Excel skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in Exelon health & welfare plans, including eligibility and administration.
• Direct Third-party Administrators to ensure on-time, compliant deliverables and handle projects.
• Oversee benefits processing and payroll reconciliations, making corrections as needed.
• Provide governance to contractor teams performing benefits operations tasks.
• Assist HR, TPAs, and the Employee Service Center with escalated benefit issues and appeals.
