Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Five to ten years of work experience.
• Actuarial certification (ASA/FSA/EA).
• Flexibility and willingness to travel, and to work extended hours.
• Proficiency with advanced features in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience leading and reviewing health and welfare actuarial analyses.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review actuarial and financial analyses for health and welfare programs, including plan pricing, cost projections, budgeting and premium rate development, employee contribution modeling, claims experience analyses and IBNR reserve calculations.
• Review the work of junior professionals, provide technical coaching and prepare or review actuarial reports, client deliverables and memoranda.
• Advise clients on H&W plan strategy, design and cost management, including funding arrangements, medical and pharmacy trend, cost sharing and benchmarking.
• Contribute to business development by preparing proposals and delivering client presentations.
