Job summary

Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, WA seeks a part-time Health Unit Coordinator for the Acute Care Unit. The HUC will serve as receptionist, patient flow facilitator, and communication liaison, ensuring smooth operations and timely information exchange on the unit.

Responsibilities include maintaining electronic medical charts, managing schedules, assisting providers with calls, coordinating patient and provider processes, and monitoring telemetry equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Unit secretary course completion is preferred.
• Nursing Assistant Certification or CNA program completion is preferred.
• Previous hospital unit secretary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Jefferson Healthcare is looking for a part-time Health Unit Coordinator to join our Acute Care Unit (ACU) team! In this role, the Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) will be responsible for acting as a receptionist, patient flow facilitator, and communication coordinator for the unit. You will also be responsible for maintaining electronic medical charts for all incoming patients, managing schedules, assisting providers with phone calls, and facilitating patient information and provider processes, as well as monitoring the telemetry machines. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities, and strong computer skills, including knowledge of electronic medical records. Schedule:
