Job summary

Belmont University’s Health Systems Science department seeks a student Office Worker to support administrative tasks, communications, and campus outreach. You will assist with organizing initiatives, mailings, social media updates, and newsletters while delivering excellent customer service.

Eligible students must be enrolled at Belmont and have Federal Work-Study status. Remote work may be considered for specific projects, with on-site hours in the HSS Department Offices as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled as a student at Belmont University.
  • FWS (Federal Work-Study) required to be considered.
  • Available for 7–10 hours per week on campus or for special events.
  • Basic computer skills; proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing initiatives including research and fundraising, and campus errands.
  • Assist with social media posts, website updates, marketing, and newsletters.
  • Maintain high-quality customer service in communications with Faculty, Fellows, and Students.
  • Handle sensitive information appropriately and maintain professionalism and punctuality.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

JobResponsibilities :

- Assist with organizing initiatives including research and fundraising, running errands on campus, assist with mailings and making copies.

- Help with social media / LinkedIn posts, updates to the website, marketing, and newsletters.

- Assist with communication to Faculty, Fellows, and Students with excellent customer service.

- Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.

- Other administrative duties or special projects, as assigned.

- Students can work 7-10 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

- Applicants must have FWS to be considered.

- Must be available to work within the HSS Department Offices during listed hours and/or after-hours for special events. Remote work considered as appropriate for specific projects.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality while delivering exceptional computer, phone, and customer service skills.

- Basic computer skills; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) a plus.

- Excellent communication skills and detail-oriented.

- Ability to work well with others or independently.

- Willingness to tackle new projects and ability to maintain professionalism, including punctuality and appearance.
