Job summary

Prometheus Federal Services is seeking a Health Systems Specialist (Mid-Level) to support VA scheduling modernization, interoperability, and enterprise transformation. You will bridge business, operational, and technical needs to improve Veteran access to care and optimize system utilization across VA environments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience supporting healthcare operations, health information systems, or healthcare transformation programs.
• Knowledge of VA databases, healthcare systems, and their interrelationships.
• Experience supporting healthcare system implementation, modernization, or operational improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of project management tools, methodologies, and techniques.
• Experience applying organizational change management principles and practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience developing business requirements, workflow documentation, and operational analyses.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support analysis, implementation, and optimization of healthcare systems supporting scheduling, referrals, community care, and care coordination activities.
• Document and evaluate operational workflows, business processes, and system interactions across VA healthcare environments.
• Analyze current-state and future-state workflows to identify process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies.
• Support initiatives designed to enhance Veteran access to care through improved scheduling and care coordination practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational challenges and recommend solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.
