Job Description

Part‑time Health Science position – Massage Therapy Program Instructor. This position requires a licensed massage therapist with at least three years of experience.

Responsibilities
  • Designs and implements instruction of assigned content area(s)/course(s) in accordance with state standards, district curriculum, and student needs.
  • Creates a positive educational climate, fostering an atmosphere of respect and rapport.
  • Creates and delivers relevant, rigorous lessons that maximize student engagement and achievement.
  • Utilizes diverse teaching practices to meet the individual needs of students.
  • Observes and evaluates student performance, monitors assessment data, and maintains grades and attendance.
  • Manages classroom behavior using effective management strategies and disciplinary procedures.
  • Communicates with parents and district personnel about student progress and encourages parental involvement.
  • Takes precautions to ensure student health and safety; protects equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Maintains confidential records and data appropriately.
  • Applies required certifications and professional development hours as mandated.
  • Engages with local businesses and community partners for the CTE program.
  • Serves as local chapter advisor for relevant Career and Technical Student Organizations.
  • Engages in continuous improvement and professional development, including earning industry certifications.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned.
