Overview

Health Sci, PT LPN - Part-Time Instructor position for the LPN Program with Hillsborough County Public Schools.

Responsibilities
  • Designs and implements appropriate instruction of designated postsecondary CTE content area(s)/course(s) in accordance with state standards, district curriculum, and student needs.
  • Creates a positive educational climate that fosters respect and rapport.
  • Delivers relevant and rigorous lessons to maximize student engagement and achievement.
  • Uses diverse teaching practices and methodologies to meet the needs of students from diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Observes and evaluates student performance, monitors assessment data, and maintains student grades and attendance.
  • Manages classroom behavior with effective strategies and appropriate disciplinary procedures.
  • Communicates with parents and school/district personnel regarding student progress and encourages parental involvement.
  • Ensures health and safety for students and protects equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Maintains confidential records and data; keeps professional certifications and development hours up to date.
  • Engages with local business and community to partner with the CTE program.
  • Participates as local chapter advisor for the appropriate Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSO).
  • Engages in continuous improvement and professional development, including earning appropriate industry certifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned; responsibilities and tasks may change to meet district needs.
Qualifications

Applicant Must Meet (1) One Of The Following Criteria

  • Related bachelor’s degree with one (1) year related experience.
  • Related AA/AS degree with two (2) years related experience.
  • One (1) year of technical training with one year of verifiable experience.
  • Three (3) years of full‑time in‑field verified work experience.
