Job summary

MJ Nester Equipment Sales LLC is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to own the safety program across field and shop operations, including training currency, audits, incident investigations, OSHA recordkeeping, and workers' compensation administration.

The role carries stop-work authority and requires collaboration with field leadership to enforce safety standards and report to the Director of Business Operations, ensuring findings are integrated with project execution.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of safety experience in construction, industrial services, or a plant environment.
• OSHA construction and general industry standards knowledge and related hazards.
• Experience with incident investigation and OSHA recordkeeping (300 log).
• Experience administering workers compensation and coordinating return to work.
• Experience with customer safety qualification platforms such as ISNetworld or Avetta.

Responsibilities

• Own the company’s health and safety program across field and shop operations.
• Deliver and coordinate training including OSHA 10/30, PT truck, rigging, and lockout/tagout.
• Conduct regular field and shop audits focusing on high-risk work.
• Exercise stop-work authority when unsafe conditions arise and document actions.
• Maintain OSHA records and coordinate workers compensation processes.
• Manage regulatory inspections and safety qualification platforms.
