About the Opportunity

As a QHSE Advisor, you will support several projects to meet the requirements of the Quality, Safety, and Environment Management systems. The role involves assisting site teams and managers by recognizing hazards and seeking to minimize risks, while creating, maintaining, and improving health, safety, and environmental standards. You will champion QHSE initiatives in the workplace and ensure adherence to QHSE processes in accordance with site standards, best practices, company requirements, and legislated standards for quality, health, safety, and environment.

Essential Functions

  1. Perform duties focused on continuous improvement in QHSE performance.
  2. Produce regional QHSE statistics monthly, identify trends, and take proactive initiatives.
  3. Lead by example for all QHSE KPIs, including safe driving behavior, opportunity reporting, behavioral interventions, and stop work authority.
  4. Communicate appropriate QHSE information accurately and promptly.
  5. Lead or assist management in incident investigations and near-miss reports, completing required documentation.
  6. Encourage hazard identification and incident reporting by all personnel.
  7. Maintain positive relationships with outside stakeholders to meet expectations in loss control, environmental performance, and quality.
  8. Provide leadership and coaching in safety and loss control techniques, being approachable and available to all levels.
  9. Coordinate and deliver annual QHSE training for new hires and monthly safety meetings.
  10. Communicate QHSE standards to ensure compliance with all standards and regulations.
  11. Observe employees' use of safety equipment and make recommendations.
  12. Demonstrate the proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
  13. Inspect DOT field compliance and provide related training.
  14. Inspect operational areas for hazards and lead identification exercises.
  15. Ensure availability of PPE, safety equipment, and first aid supplies.
  16. Conduct internal QHSE inspections as required.
  17. Represent Solaris at regional safety meetings.
  18. Work on a 24-hour call basis and be willing to travel extensively.
  19. Build detailed inspection presentations for review with management and field teams.
  20. Assist in preparing and attending customer meetings on safety and operational events.
  21. Monitor NPT JPNs for accuracy and completion of RCAs.

  • Practical knowledge of well servicing, drilling, or power generation operations.
  • Familiarity with hazard identification, safety equipment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and organizational skills.
