Job summary

Elevance Health, Inc. is seeking a Health Program Representative I to handle initial contact between Care Management programs and members.

This role involves inbound/outbound enrollment and engagement calls to provide information on program features, benefits, and services. Candidate may work virtually full-time with required in-person training, with the possibility of alternate locations within commuting distance.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or the equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in telesales or customer service.
• Call center experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and records appropriate member information via telephone.
• Encourages members to participate in Care Management programs by outlining features and services.
• Records call details and uses call scripts as needed based on client requirements.
• Directs member inquiries to appropriate clinical staff.
• Initiates referrals and manages consults from clinicians for participants in Care Management.
• Gathers information from hospitals, health plans, physicians, patients, vendors and other sources.
• Contacts physician offices to obtain demographic information or related data as needed.
• Multitasks across calls, texts, faxes and electronic queues while taking notes and speaking with customers.
• Maintains focus in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
• Demonstrates empathy and persistence to resolve caller issues.
• Proficient with digital tools to enhance productivity.
• Work schedule may include occasional overtime or office-based days.
