Job summary

Northeastern University seeks an Associate Director of Health Professions & Life Sciences Career Advising to lead sector-specific advising for students pursuing medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, biotech, and related fields. You will supervise 1–2 Assistant Directors and guide students from exploration through professional school applications and securing internships, co-ops, and jobs.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in life sciences/health or related field required; master’s/doctoral degree preferred.
Experience in career services or health professions advising with knowledge of admissions and hiring dynamics.
Proficiency with career management platforms and labor market tools; ability to translate data into guidance.

Responsibilities

Provide individualized career advising and coaching to health professions students and recent graduates.
Design, deliver, and iterate sector-specific programming and employer engagement activities.
Manage up to 2 Assistant Directors, providing coaching and professional development.
Monitor labor market trends and translate insights into programming and student resources.
Collaborate across campus with science and health programs, representing the center on sector topics.
