Northeastern University seeks an Associate Director of Technology Career Advising to serve as the dedicated career specialist for students pursuing full-time roles in software engineering, data science, AI/ML, cybersecurity, IT, and adjacent fields. You will build sector programs, maintain employer relationships, and use labor market data to give students a competitive edge.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• 4–6 years in career services, technical recruiting, workforce development, or tech industry with understanding of tech hiring practices.
• Knowledge of tech, data science, cybersecurity job markets and certificate pathways (e.g., CompTIA, CISSP, cloud certifications).
• Experience advising students or early-career professionals in technical fields with ability to translate complex industry dynamics.
• Experience managing others with coaching, feedback, and professional development.

Responsabilidades

• Provide individualized career advising and coaching to students and recent grads for tech roles (engineering, data, cybersecurity, etc.).
• Guide job search strategy, resume/portfolio development, technical interview prep, and offer evaluations.
• Manage up to 2 Assistant Directors, providing coaching and development.
• Incorporate AI-driven hiring trends and new role categories into advising interactions.
