Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Product Strategist, Consultant to drive product strategy across Individual & Family Plans and other lines. You will translate market insights and regulatory requirements into actionable strategies, owning portfolio direction and roadmaps to improve growth, retention, affordability, and member experience.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence stakeholders while managing multiple priorities in a hybrid in-office setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED plus 4 years of relevant experience; master's in business, public health, or related field strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in product strategy, product management, portfolio management, health plan products, or related fields.
• Experience supporting product strategy, roadmap development, business case creation, and evaluation of product performance and profitability drivers.
• Deep understanding of health plan products, market dynamics, and regulatory environments.
• Extensive knowledge of ACA guidelines, Individual & Family Plan markets, and health plan product management.
• Strong project management, ownership, and ability to lead cross-functional initiatives.
• Demonstrates ability to translate complexity into action and to influence stakeholders.
