Job summary

Blue Shield of CA is seeking a Product Strategist, Consultant to drive product strategy and portfolio direction across Individual & Family Plans. You translate market insights and regulatory requirements into actionable roadmaps, leading cross-functional initiatives to fuel growth, retention, and affordability while enhancing member experience.

This role requires 7+ years in product strategy or health plan products, with strong leadership, analytical, and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree or GED with 4 years of relevant experience; MBA/MPH strongly preferred.
• Requires at least 7 years of product strategy, product management, portfolio management, health plan products.
• Experience supporting strategy, roadmap development, business case creation, and evaluating performance.
• Deep understanding of health plan products, market dynamics, and regulatory environments.
• Extensive knowledge of ACA guidelines, Individual & Family Plan markets, and health plan product management.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrates ownership and problem-solving in ambiguous situations.
• Proven ability to translate complexity into action.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute product strategy for multiple lines and consumer segments.
• Translate market insights, business objectives, and regulatory requirements into actionable product roadmaps.
• Drive portfolio direction, product recommendations, and initiatives that improve growth, retention and member experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the organization.
• Support regulatory compliance and navigate ACA guidelines in market dynamics.
