Job summary

HMSA Center in Hawaii seeks a customer-focused associate to deliver an exceptional, member-centered service experience. You will greet customers, identify needs, explain HMSA products and enrollment options, and guide them toward the best solutions.

As the frontline representative, you will maintain a welcoming environment, assist with self-service tools, stay current on policies, and uphold compliance while helping customers understand benefits, claims, premiums, and payments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and two years of related experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Active Hawaii license with the Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs OR pass all four sections of the state licensing examination within three months of hire date. Having an active license to sell Health, Life and Group Insurance products in Hawaii is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer-focused HMSA Center experience and promote HMSA's brand message.
• Build enduring relationships with HMSA's customers by becoming their trusted advisor and delivering on commitments.
• Understand HMSA's products and services; analyze needs and propose solutions meeting the customer's requirements and drive enrollment where appropriate.
• Run the HMSA Center experience as the single point of contact, guiding customers and escalating to experts when needed.
• Assist customers with questions about health care, insurance benefits, claims, premiums, payments, and enrollment while using self-service tools.
• Maintain a clean, professional HMSA Center environment and ensure collateral is stocked.
