Job summary

Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) is seeking a Center Associate to deliver a differentiated, high-touch experience for HMSA customers. You will promote HMSA's brand, provide sales and service, and be a positive ambassador for the People of Hawaii.

The role includes on-the-job training, and an active Hawaii Life and Health license must be obtained within three months. HMSA offers paid study time and test fee reimbursement within policy thresholds.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Active Hawaii Life & Health license or pass all four licensing sections within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional HMSA Center customer experience and promote HMSA's brand.
• Build relationships with customers as a trusted advisor and deliver on commitments.
• Understand products, assess needs, propose solutions, and close sales opportunities.
• Educate customers on HMSA resources and changes in healthcare (e.g., ACA).
• Assist training and stay current on product knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness and replenish collateral in the HMSA Center.
