Job summary

Mission Middle School is seeking a Health Paraprofessional for a 7-hour day role. The ideal candidate will have or obtain First Aid/CPR certification and be able to provide immediate health-related assistance to students.

The position includes dispensing medications, general office tasks, scheduling health screenings, and duties that support the physical care and safety of students. Regular attendance and effective communication are essential.

Job description

Applications are being accepted for a 7 hour per day Health Paraprofessional position at Mission Middle School. Candidate must have or be able to obtain certification in first aid/CPR on an ongoing basis. Duties include providing immediate physical assistance to children with emergency health needs, dispensing medications, and general office duties. Candidates must have accurate record keeping, organizational and communication skills. The ability to work with students is essential for this position. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling health screenings and duties associated with the physical care and safety of students. Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Duty hours are typically Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
