Job summary

Mission Middle School in Bellevue is seeking a Library Paraprofessional for a 7-hour workday. You will assist in maintaining the library collection and collaborate with classroom teachers and students individually and in small groups.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, spelling, proofreading and typing skills, basic computer knowledge, and good teamwork and people skills. Experience in a school library is preferred, with veterans preference applied.

Job description

Applications are being accepted for a 7 hour per day Library Paraprofessional position at Mission Middle School. Duties include assisting in maintaining current collection of books and materials in the library, and working with the classroom teachers and students individually and in small groups. The candidate must be flexible and willing to accommodate requests from students and teachers. The applicant should possess excellent organizational, spelling, proofreading and typing skills. The desired candidate must have knowledge of computers, possess teamwork and people skills; experience working in a school library preferred. Required qualifications are that the applicant not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself or others with or without reasonable accommodations, and must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned and for the duration of the assignment. This position is subject to a veterans preference. Duty hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
