Job summary

Advocate Health seeks an experienced IT strategy leader to drive business/IT alignment, roadmap development, and program governance. You will partner with executives to evaluate IT initiatives, manage demand, and ensure strong communication across clinical and operational units to deliver technology-enabled improvements in patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Typically 7 years of experience evaluating internal information systems and acting as the interface between operations and technical teams.
• Knowledge of leading-edge applications of information technology in health delivery.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong strategic thinking aligned with business goals and technology strategy.
• Attention to detail in developing functional requirements, risk assessments, cost estimates and plans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with clinical or operational leadership to identify strategic IT opportunities to improve patient care delivery.
• Develops business cases and requirements; guides project strategy and execution with risk management in mind.
• Builds strong partnerships between IT, operations and senior leadership to align initiatives with business goals.
• Assists in portfolio/demand management and helps prioritize IT programs with measurable benefits.
• Maintains contacts at decision-making levels and articulates the value of IT initiatives with ROI-based propositions.
• Manages IT pipeline, tracks prospects and allocates resources across projects and programs.
