Job summary

Community Health Center of Buffalo Inc is seeking an Information Technology Manager to lead IT operations across multiple sites. You will ensure system availability, robust cybersecurity, HIPAA compliance, and seamless EHR/PM integration with eClinicalWorks.

You will oversee infrastructure, network, security, and IT service delivery while guiding a small team. A healthcare background and hands-on leadership are essential for delivering high-quality patient care in Western New York.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity, or equivalent
• 3–5 years IT management experience; 2+ years in healthcare setting
• Robust HIPAA/HITECH knowledge and healthcare compliance
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, M365/Entra ID, and virtualization
• Networking and telecom experience including VPNs, firewalls, VoIP
• Experience with eClinicalWorks EHR/PM and HIE interfaces
• Knowledge of NIST/CIS security frameworks and MFA

Responsibilities

• Oversee LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, and secure VPNs across sites and remote users
• Manage hardware lifecycle: servers, VMs, workstations, laptops, devices
• Administer VoIP, call routing, and digital communications tools
• Oversee vendor relations, SLAs, and procurement for IT equipment and cloud services
• Ensure EHR/PM uptime, security, speed, and workflow optimization
• Ensure data exchange via HL7/FHIR between EHR/PM, labs, imaging, and HIEs
• Maintain HIPAA/HITECH compliance and PHI protection
• Lead staff cybersecurity awareness and onboarding for clinical/administrative teams
• Coordinate IT DR/BCP testing and updates
• Provide escalation and hands-on support with the IT team
