Job summary

Pascua Yaqui Tribe is seeking a Health IT Desktop Technician to configure and install computer hardware and software within the Health Services Division, ensuring smooth integration with EHRs (RPMS/NextGen). The role involves diagnosing hardware, software, and LAN issues to support clinical and administrative operations while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The position requires knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, LAN connectivity, and experience with EHRs.

Qualifications

• Experience with EHR systems such as RPMS and NextGen in a healthcare setting.
• A+ Certification preferred.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Configure and install computer hardware, OS, and healthcare applications including EHR systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, LAN connectivity, and EHR-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure proper connectivity to the LAN, external devices, and healthcare systems.
• Follow tribal IT procedures for system security, HIPAA compliance, connectivity, backup and recovery.
• Perform preventive maintenance and updates for HSD IT systems.
• Respond to service requests related to healthcare operations and escalate as needed.
• Maintain printers, scanners, and peripheral devices used for health documentation.
• Participate in Help Desk rotation, providing technical support for clinical staff.
