Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) seeks a New Business Coordinator to assist Sales/Account Management in prospecting, acquiring, or retaining business. You will gather data, enroll customers, and coordinate communications with internal and external stakeholders.

The role emphasizes building relationships, managing documentation, and traveling as needed, while complying with regulatory and corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience in health insurance/health care field in a service/sales/marketing position involving initiative and decision-making OR 5 years of experience in health care management in a marketing service representative role OR 5 years of experience in sales/marketing or health care management/claims/provider service experience involving processing or coordination of services for health care clients.
• State Insurance License(s) or obtain State Insurance License(s) within required time frame per state regulations.
• Organizational and decision-making skills; written and verbal communications skills including telephone skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.

Responsibilities

• Gather data, create and/or maintain databases.
• Participate in enrollments. Prepare materials for enrollment sessions.
• Prepare documentation for prospective or existing customers. Review forms received for completeness.
• Develop relationships with customer representatives.
• May respond to questions from prospect regarding benefit information and available benefit options.
• May include some travel.
• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
• Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
• Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
• Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
